The Repo Center has just completed an acquisition with a combined value in excess of $10 million dollars in new boat inventory. Boats will begin to arrive Thursday, February 18th in Oshkosh, Wisconsin location. The acquisition brings more than 300 boats from the Midwest and the east and west coasts to the Repo Center's inventory. Management has worked closely with marine floor plan providers to complete this transaction.
Liquidation will begin immediately! The models included in this replenished batch of boats range from competition ski boats, runabouts, pontoons, deck boats, fiberglass and aluminum fishing boats and motor yachts. The media is encouraged to attend the delivery of the first truck loads on Thursday, February 18th but we ask consumers and dealers to wait until the weekend to inspect boats. Our staff will be fully engaged in unloading and examining this product prior to sale. This inventory will be integrated into corporate inventory and will be available for sale at all Skipper Bud's locations.
The Midwest Marine Repo Center sold in excess of 350 units in 2009 but found that the demand for this market segment remains extremely high. This product has been selling domestically but world-wide as well on a wholesale basis.
The Repo Center started with the purchase of 150 units from a dealer bankruptcy. This quickly proved that there is a high demand for boats at specific price points. Excitement grew and lenders and floorplanners learned they could liquidate inventory at a discounted price as well. The locations in Wisconsin and Ohio provide visible, marketable and accessible venues for all boat models from 16' to 60'.
The Repo Center's inventory is constantly changing; new and used product from many manufacturers is arriving almost daily. These units, many bank owned are priced at a much deeper discount then they would be if they were still on a boat dealer's showroom floor. The pricing reflects substantial savings and makes our inventory more dynamic than ever!
